New integrated ISO/CAN interchangeable adapter with two-channel multiplexer

Bosch has now thoroughly revised the KTS control unit diagnostic testers, making the diagnosis of control units yet more convenient, faster and reliable. Among the innovations are the integrated, future-proof interface solution, employing an interchangeable ISO/CAN adapter on all models. The KTS 530, KTS 540 and the KTS 570 all incorporate the interfaces for the diagnostic cable, a single or two-channel multimeter, USB port and mains power supply unit. The interfaces mean that the KTS devices can be used with even greater flexibility, and offer even more functions. The new models are also able to work with the asanetwork. The KTS 540 and 570 now transmit their data to a PC over a wireless Bluetooth channel, while the KTS 570 is now fitted with more powerful measuring technology.
The new KTS devices and the Esitronic workshop software package together just the tools required for efficient diagnosis and repair of electrical and electronic components in modern cars and commercial vehicles. This is done either by combining the tester with a laptop or PC on which the software is installed, or using it to supplement a PC-supported tester such as the FSA (Fahrzeug System Analyse: Vehicle System Analysis) from Bosch.
Innovations on all KTS models
A two-channel multiplexer has been added to the interchangeable adapter that is now found on all models. This is used to communicate with the various vehicle interfaces, and can drive K/L, SAE or CAN cables. The switch matrix, under the control of the Esitronic software, makes it possible to assign every possible pin on the diagnostic connector individually. The software knows both the vehicle-specific pin assignments, and the signal flows needed by the control unit for communication, securely making the necessary connections in each case. The adapter recognizes all the interfaces to various vehicle control units that come into question at present. If radical changes, modifications to the bus system or new diagnostic protocols for instance, are made to the control units, the adapter can easily be exchanged. The new KTS testers can therefore expect to remain in service for a long time.
